| The Asana Spa and Fitness Center in Glyfada. |
Athens is a congested, stressful, and relatively polluted city. Thankfully, for both Athenians and visitors, the city is home to at least 2 dozen spas and beauty care centers that offer quite oases of relaxation in the middle of a modern metropolitan environment. Many of these wellness havens were established in the last 5 years and more keep coming every year. Three major Athens-area hotels, the Grande Bretagne, the Apollo Palace, and the Mare Nostrum have jumped on the bandwagon with modern spas, while international chains, such as the Swiss-based La Prairie, now have a presence in Athens. The city today boasts a wide variety of spas and wellness centers that cater to almost every need and taste, and, perhaps eually importantly, to every budget. In addition, they are spread throughout the city, from Glyfada to Kifissia, and around the Kolonaki district. Below, we present the 14 top spa and beauty care centers in the Athens area. The prices per treatment are indicative and you should call in advance to enquire about them, since they are subject to change. Furthermore, you should call to reserve an appointment and make any special arrangements you may require. All of these establishments have English-speaking employees. |
