Prices for hotels are for a standard double room including breakfast, where available. Prices are always subject to change. Many Greek hotels maintain a number of price lists, depending on the time of year of the booking, and the type of booking. Travellers should always contact the hotels and arrange for a favorable rate. Usually, the closer the booking to the arrival date, the lower the price is likely to be, subject to availability. This is especially true during relatively slow seasons, such as years of high incidence of terrorist acts worldwide, recession, etc.

In addition, qualitative judgments concerning room, food, service, and pool quality are subjective and are meant as rough indicators of such quality. Prices for restaurants are approximate and are quoted per person not including wine. Price per person includes a mid-price appetizer or salad, a mid-price entree, and a mid-price desert. Usually, wine, especially in better restaurants tends to increase the bill considerably. In most Greek restaurants, and especially tavernas, the house wine is acceptable as an option. It is customary to ask to try the house wine before ordering.
Tipping is optional, since an 8% service charge is included in the bill, but, depending on the service, a 4-8% tip is always appreciated.
